So, I promised I'd let you know if I forgot any of my Dad's domains and I definitely did!
[He sounds so cheerful when he says this. Then again, Apollo is a Lot, and he does love his Dad.]
He's also the god of poetry, plagues and diseases, music, and the arts! Dad's just not as associated with things like dance because he kinda gave that over to the Nine Muses. But poetry and music are the big forms of creativity for him.
Apparently! That wide umbrella does mean that many of those things fall underneath the domain of other gods, so there won't be any fun revelations on that... Oh well.
[He already knows far more about Apollo than anyone ever asked.]
If your father ever shows up here, could I perhaps ask a favor?
[Will almost answers that question, and then Amal keeps going. There's a long pause and then a snort of laughter. He covers up his amusement with a clearing of his throat.]
I'll pass along your message. What did she do? Actually, do I want to know what 'technique' you're referring to?
[Like. Not gonna lie, Amal, it sounds like you had a one-night stand with a Muse and she was greatly dissatisfied with your 'performance.']
[Okay, okay, he's fine. The laughs are out and done! ...Mostly.]
It's a kind of... crude form of dance. I mean, mostly it's just for people to show off, chase a trend, washed-up singers to start a scandal, or all of the above.
I'm no Shakespeare, but of all the ways I could describe twerking? 'Sensual' doesn't make the cut. Sorry, Amal, I think someone led you astray with that.
From what I've heard, the dogs and cats on TikTok are quality. That said, from what I've seen, if you have an interest in cooking, there's a guy on TikTok I recommend watching. He cooks old American recipes and tries them out to see if they still hold up.

Poetry, plague... very interesting!
[He hesitates.]
The Muses, you say? Was one of them perhaps named Terpsichore?

[Oh, gods. Will has to remember if that's one of their names. Memorizing all nine of their names is a chore for a kid with ADHD.]
Uhhh... yyyyyes, I think so. Muse of dance, maybe. Why?

Tell that two-gil tone-deaf harpy that if she has a problem with my technique she should say it to my face instead of playing dirty!

Have you ever heard of 'twerking'?
[With all the gravity of delivering news of a war.]
She was so offended by the dances of the people here that she cursed me so I might never dance again.

Oh my gods, you didn't!

I thought it was sensual!

None taken, but, no offense, I wouldn't acknowledge the same from someone at least ten years older who gets dance advice from TikTok and Instagram.

[He holds up his finger.]
I'm a classy bitch. No TikTok.

[He's confused by the nickname, but otherwise doesn't object to it.]
I don't think that says much, Dancing Queen, but whatever helps you cope with your curse.

TikTok is a children's game. And not the particularly fun kind!
Also the dances look way better in music videos, not recorded on some low quality piece of...
